Nordic Mechanical Services Ltd. (NMS) has supported the ADF for nearly ten years and 2011 marks the fourth year they will support the Sean Fleming Golf Classic as Title Sponsor. Over 25 years ago, John Cloutier started the company with a focus on maintaining and servicing heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems throughout Edmonton and Northern Alberta. The business, since inception, has grown to be Edmonton’s most prominent mechanical service provider and continues to develop strong community, business and social partnerships.

In 2003, NMS first showed their support for the Alberta Diabetes Foundation by sponsoring the Sean Fleming Golf Classic. Since then they have supported many of the Foundation’s fundraising events including the prestigious premiere event ‘A Night to Remember’ gala. The company’s sense of social responsibility extends beyond financial support; John’s eldest son, Rene, is serving his fourth year on the Golf committee, helping secure sponsorships and planning the annual event.

Nordic Mechanical Services’ philanthropic efforts are not confined to Canada as evidenced by their involvement in the Bulembu project, a small city in Swaziland, Africa that is working towards self-sustainability. Bulembu is
developing community spirit and commercial industries to name a few areas of focus.
